KALAO

2003 - 20 m - Maxi Dolphin, Italy - 665 000

Description (DE)

A stunning cruiser-racer designed by celebrated Italian designer Luca Brenta, the Maxi Dolphin 65’ KALAO represents the latest concept in medium-light displacement yachts. She is designed for high performance under sails without sacrificing interior space. The accommodation includes a large double berth owner's cabin located to the front of the yacht, an immense open-space saloon at her centre, with the galley area in full view, and two aft guest cabins, each with twin berths. All the cabins have their own en-suite bathrooms. Accommodation for two crew members is located in the bow.

KALAO thus offers both performance and comfort. This complicated balance is the result of careful research by Luca Brenta, which has been put to best use by the skilled construction team at Maxi Dolphin.

- Great cruiser-racer with perfect balance between performance and comfort
- Large open-space saloon and galley
- Luca Brenta Design

The interior of the Maxi Dolphin 65’ by Luca Brenta, which the designer has elaborated in full agreement with the owner, is based on minimalist aesthetic principles with great attention paid to detail. The deck, typically Mediterranean with its large cockpit “furnished” with long seats and a centre table, has been designed to be extremely liveable under the clear Mediterranean sky. Some shade is nevertheless provided by the foldaway bimini incorporated in the low- profile sleek deckhouse. The deck has been given a touch of elegance and “warmth” by the addition of areas of teak planking.
