GERMANIA NOVA is a replica of the schooner ‘Germania’ launched in 1908. She was built at Factoria Naval de Marin, located in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. As opposed to Germania, which did not include a motor or generators or air conditioning, GERMANIA NOVA has been outfitted with these important features for a charter yacht of her kind. In fact GERMANIA NOVA has full charter class under LY2. Her external decks and sail plan are equally impressive.
Under deck she is composed of two main zones (guests and crew). Crew area is all located forward, and houses 10 crew in bunk areas, and two cabins for officers and captain, a crew mess, a laundry room and a galley.
Guest area is composed of 5 cabins, including a master cabin and 4 guest cabins. All cabins with ensuite bathroom. One large saloon completes guest area. A bridge area finishes off the guest area, including all necessary radio and navigation equipment.
GERMANIA NOVA combines modern comfort with the high-performance standards of the original GERMANIA. She is back ... and she will rule the waves again !

Main features
Sailing a large racing schooner is an outstanding experience – GERMANIA NOVA has 1,300 m² to 2,383 m² of sails, set on wooden masts and spars and operated with the help of 16 hydraulic winches. With a moderate breeze the ship is very comfortable and easy to sail, with more wind the ship heels and starts roaring down the race track.
