AMADOUR
AMADOUR
Step into the enduring elegance of AMADOUR, a stunning Marconi Cutter launched in 1938 by the esteemed Chantier de la Liane in Marseille. A true emblem of the golden age of sailing, this classic yacht features teak planking over oak frames, blending durability with timeless beauty. At 15.90 metres in overall length, AMADOUR strikes an ideal balance between sailing performance and period refinement.
The yacht boasts a prestigious history: Lord Mountbatten, the last Viceroy of India, and the legendary actress Rita Hayworth both sailed aboard her. From 1961 to 1991, she belonged to Jean Borghini, Monaco’s Minister of Finance at the time. Later, AMADOUR was cherished by a succession of devoted collectors, including Dutch entrepreneur Tom Van Der Bruggen, who led a comprehensive interior restoration between 2007 and 2010 at the renowned Gilbert Pasqui shipyard in Villefranche-sur-Mer. The work modernised her interiors while faithfully preserving her historic charm.
Designed for classic regattas, AMADOUR has graced the waters of prestigious events including Antibes, Saint-Tropez, Porquerolles, Nice, and Cannes, proudly taking third place in the 2010 Ladies Cup. Recent upgrades ensure a high level of comfort on board: a welcoming interior with varnished wood finishes, subtle modern amenities, a fully equipped galley, renovated bathroom, audio system, and 4G connectivity.
